 These are our

“Baby Yellow Potatoes”

We will be pulling these up soon…..they taste like butter…..who doesn’t like butter…

 #5 my garden

We have several different varieties of tomatoes in the garden….

one of my favorites…..the cherry tomatoes….

I eat them like candy!

 #6 my garden

The tomatoes were slow in turning red this year….we had a frost after they were planted…..which was a shocker….since it was so late in the year…..

#7 my garden

Now… they all seem to be ripening at the same time…..

Made some spaghetti sauce with these……

#8 my gardenThe yellow squash are also making a statement in the garden…..

I love to slice these beauties up and cook them in a frying pan with chopped onions and of course some butter…….yes……butter……try it…..you’re like it……..  🙂

#9 my gardenAnother view of the tomato plants……

they are huge…..

#10 my gardenThe cucumbers are producing in record numbers……put up several jars of dill pickles with these…..as you can see by the flowers……still more to come…..  🙂

Zucchini plantThis has got to one of my favorite veggies in the garden.  The faithful Zucchini!

There are so many recipes you can use zucchini in….it’s endless….good thing…because…..

zucchiniThey start with beautiful orange and yellow blooms….then the next thing you know……a zucchini is born……and if you’re not careful….the next day…..

#11 my gardenSurprise!……

Yes…..wake up from a good night sleep the next morning…….and this is what you find…..not sure what happens in the late night hours before dawn…..

Mr. Pumpkin in the gardenMr. Pumpkin is the only pumpkin in my garden….

I would like to try growing some pumpkins…..too late to plant them now…….

Maybe Farmer Bob will find room for a pumpkin patch next year…..

onions

Last we have white onions and garlic…..

the onions did very well…..I will be posting how to braid garden onions for storage….

the garlic did not do well at all…..maybe planted them too late……  🙁

Next year Farmer Bob is planning on making the garden bigger…..

Maybe a few jalapeno plants for him……

and that pumpkin patch for me……   🙂
