My Hilda Doll

My first attempt at making a reproduction antique doll 13 years ago.  Hilda is the name of this mold.  German Doll

The first of her kind was made between 1820 and 1938.  Wow, that’s a long time ago.

Bisque socket head with Mohair wig (which I made from real mohair) glass brown eyes and open mouth with teeth.  Can we say CUTE!!

I made her Christening Gown with beautiful lace trim around bottom and tiny bead pearls.

Under her gown is her slip made of cotton and the trimming is lace with ribbon.

Her body is an infant composition body.  The Hilda mold can be made to be an infant or toddler.  She has her stockings on and cloth draper.
