Fresh Apple Sopapilla Cheesecake

Victorian sopapillas cheesecake

I think of apples at the beginning of fall….I love apple pie, apple cobbler, apple cake, apple cider, really all things apples!  I made this recipe the other day while me and my daughter were working on a craft project.  It smells wonderful while baking in the oven and it is so so so yummy!

#2 green apples

You start off with 5  bright green granny smith apples…..

chopped apples

Peel and chop into fine pieces…..add a little lemon juice and cinnamon….

cream cheese filling

In another bowl, blend cream cheese and sugar together…

you can lick the beaters….no one is looking…..

Now open 2 cans of crescent rolls……

Press 1 can into bottom of 9 x 13 glass baking dish

apple and cream cheese

Next spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough….

then the apple mixture……..

butter and cinnamon sugar

Now place the 2nd can of crescent rolls on top

pour melted butter along with cinnamon sugar on top of the crust…….

I know your mouth is starting to water……

Now bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown…..

slice in squares…..and enjoy…..I certainly did!
