Doll Socks – Easy to Make

Easy to make doll socks

Hello everyone…..today I’m sharing how to make a quick and easy pair of doll socks….  At my doll class I’m currently making clothing for the doll I’m working on……E.J. and she is  19 inches tall……..My original plan was to crochet her a pair of socks but never got around to doing it…….so…..I made these instead…..

First you will need a small piece of knit material…..and for the pattern……Mama Betty (my doll teacher) just drew this up……(she’s good about making her own patterns)…

Measurements are 2 inches across the top and 5 1/2 inches from top to bottom …..you will need to make a little curve as shown for the heel and sole of sock…..

you can pretty much eyeball this….

Next pin the pattern on the fold of the material……like so…..this is for one sock….you will need to repeat for the other sock……..

Across the top… make a small fold and fold again…..the folds needs to be inside on wrong side of fabric…..like shown..I also pressed it down with an iron to help keep it folded…..it makes it easier to sew…………sew folds together across top…then pin right side together…..

5

sew it up….make sure to back stitch……. turn inside out…..and you’re done!

There you have it……a beautiful pair of socks…… I told you it was easy….Have fun!

Would love to hear your comments!

May the Lord bless you and keep you,

May the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you:

May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you Peace.
