I know you may think it’s kind of early to be even thinking about pumpkins…..but…..it’s already August and….Since I have several fall projects I’m wanting to make…..

I decided to get a head start …

I just love my “Royal Albert China.”  I call it “Old English Roses”….. but it’s actually named, “Old Country Roses” ……..and I wanted to set my formal dining room table this fall using my china and gold silverware…..so as I was setting my beautiful china out ….a little light bulb went off……Why Not Decoupage English Roses on a cream Pumpkin for the Main Centerpiece…….Well……and then I remembered my sweet hubby happened to have purchased some paper napkins to match my china a while back……and I still had some……

I was so excited…….I couldn’t wait to get started…..

First I went on the hunt for a cream pumpkin……

Finally found that perfect pumpkin at Michaels ……Hobby Lobby and Walmart did not have any cream craft pumpkins…     Lot’s of orange ones to be found but no cream   🙁   …..And it had to be cream……And I did not want to have to paint it cream…..So I have to admit something….yes it’s confession time again……I bought more that 1 when I finally found that pumpkin patch full of creamy jewels….    I justified the purchase because of my 20 percent off entire purchase coupon……  🙂

I already had Mod Podge at home along with a sponge brush to apply the decoupage….

Next step…..I made several copies of the paper napkin with my ink jet printer……

Then I cut out the larger flowers that I would be using on the pumpkin….and tape each flower to the pumpkin until I got the look I was looking for…..

I removed 1 piece of paper at a time and decoupaged it….so I would not place the flowers too close together…..

I let it dry for 15 minutes and then gave the whole pumpkin a good coat of mod podge….

Since I used a ink jet printer….I did have a little running of the colors….but it gave my pumpkin a slight tint of rose here and there……I love it…..just the look I was wanting…..

I’m so, so pleased with how my Pumpkin turned out…..Can’t wait to get my table all decorated with this beauty as the centerpiece…….I had so much fun with this, Mod Podge is my BFF for sure…….Now I have 4 more pumpkins to go……I wonder what I can decoupage on them??…………

But for now I need to stay focus on completing my decor for the dining room table……

Now on to the next project……Making a runner for the table out of curtains…..
