Spring in the Breakfast Room

Spring in the breakfast room

What a absolutely gorgeous Good Friday!!!  I hope you are enjoying this special day…..and…..the weather could not be more perfect……I feel like throwing open all the windows and just letting all that sunshine in along with the sweet fresh spring air …….but……guess what….. I have errands to run………so opening up all the windows will have to wait for another day………… at least for now…….

today I’m sharing my breakfast room table decorations…..pardon the pictures….this room is always so dark to photograph…..I know the dark walls has a lot to do with the lighting…..but…..one day soon……the green wallpaper will go…..and a much lighter wall will appear……  🙂

If you remember from last year……I had these cute cream color rabbits on my dining room table at Easter……I decided this year to place them in my breakfast room instead…..about a month ago I finally found some chair pads for my chairs…..they are linen……with lots of ruffles around the edge…….Pier One’s spring shipment had just arrived……and I was buying them right out of the shipping box…..really I was……and they only had 4…….I bought all they had and since I needed 6 for this table…….I had to purchase the other 2 from another Pier One……so… the color of the rabbits and even my runner matches perfectly with my linen chair pads…..woo-hoo!

I have 2 mercury glass candlesticks…..with a special little treat on top of each one….a little birds nest along with white feathers……and speckled eggs…..

4

what a beautiful shade of blue…..don’t you think……I got the candlesticks from Michael’s  several months ago……Mercury candlesticks…..can’t go wrong buying them…..they look great no matter where you place them….

5

The runner like I said earlier matches perfectly with my rabbits and chair pads….

Here are my chairs pads………the picture turned out a little dark…..but you can still see how pretty they are…….

Spring in the Kitchen

Spring in the Kitchen

Hello everyone!!!  It’s another beautiful spring day here in my part of the woods…….and…. while I was sound asleep last night……the grass must of grew at least 4 inches or more………really….when I woke up this morning……my yard look like it was totally out of control…….and the weeds decided to show up too….and…. they are taller than the grass…………The combination of a week of rain and the temperature now reaching  80 degrees…….it’s perfect for everything to grow……yes everything……the good, the bad and the ugly…….looks like it’s time to pull out “Chewy” and do some mowing……..yes, we are those kind of people who name their lawn mowers  🙂 You have to admit…..it’s a cute name of a mower……

3

Well let’s talk about what’s happening inside my house……wanted to share with you my little springtime vignette……..

2

I have it displayed in the kitchen………I bought this little bear a few years back at Stein Mart……

4

I just think he’s the cutest little thing….he even has his own tiny wicker basket full of Easter goodies……

7

I remember the day I bought him…….Stein Mart only had 2……I spotted him…..along with another lady…..we each grab one……we smiled at each other…..and said how unusually it was to find a bear holding an Easter basket……no problem finding rabbits with baskets but not bears…….we both decided we had to have him …just because he was different…….I’m so glad I purchased him…….he looks so adorable no matter where I place him…..

6

Spring, with all the soft pastel colors…..they have a way of brightening up your home…….really it does….Hope you bring a little Spring into your home……it will brighten your home and your day!

 Blessings

Hello everyone!!!!  If you haven’t figure it out yet…..I have this really soft spot for Bunnies!!!!  I just think they are the cutest, adorable and sweetest little critters around……It’s hard for me to pass one up when I’m out at the store…..Really….they seem to be smiling at me saying….take me home with you…..I feel like I’m in one of those Pier One commercials………  🙂

3

This sweet little furry came from Hobby Lobby many years ago….I just had to take a picture of him on the dining room buffet……because…..I’m sharing him with Mom this year……he’s headed to her house as part of her spring decor…....

4

His destination…….the entryway……on her console….as you come into the house…perfect spot for him……to greet everyone visiting….don’t you think?….

5

What makes this guy so special…..He’s covered with sparkled beads……some have fallen off over the years….but he still looks pretty good……One last photo before saying goodbye…….

Just FYI…..this is not the last posting about bunnies…..I think I still have a few here to put out……stay tuned…..

Have a Blessed day!

Silver Bunnies and Tea Cart

Silver Bunnies and Tea Cart

Hello everyone….The other day I went out to lunch and then on a little shopping spree with 2 of my sisters…… We just happen to go into a Home Goods store over on their side of town……I spotted these silver dual bunny tea candle holders……….and of course the price was right at $7.99…..

2

I knew exactly where I wanted to display them…..right along side the silver tea set on my Ethan Allen tea cart……(which I have had for 36 plus years now)

3

I decided they needed a little color….so I added 2 shades of pink ribbon around their necks ……

4

also a couple of faux cakes decorated for spring for more color…..

5

I just love this birds nest with the light blue speckled eggs and white feathers……It’s nestled nicely in my silver sugar dish……..

6

Super cute don’t you think??  I’m so so glad I found them……..and so very glad I bought them!!!!  I hope you enjoy decorating for Spring as much as I do!!!!

Have a Blessed Day!
